SSN replies - Points raised at the event include: • Involving people in the process is not just a good thing to do but can make a positive contribution to self efficacy. Something they have a say in and not just being done to them. • How do you encourage a family who regularly state “we are not well” to overcome the isolation and opportunities available to them? • Difficulty in engaging people in the process can be evidence of low self efficacy, there can be a very entrenched sense of helplessness. • There is a need to set goals that are attainable but stretching – too simple and it is patronising, there is no gain. • Resilience is reflective, we need to keep ourselves resilient even when in hard places.
